About You

PERHAPS YOU’RE A LIFE COACH

You know your clients are often already overwhelmed. You want to help curb this, not add to it, so you want your website visitors to feel calm and assured when they visit your site.

‘Calm’ doesn’t have to mean ‘boring’. The difference is at once subtle and doable.

OR YOU’RE A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZER

You understand that organizing is more than throwing stuff out. You’ve spent time and money to truly learn your craft. You’re not going to do this halfway.

Weirdly, though, a lot of your clients think they already know how to do your job. If that were true, why do so many folks have closets they would never want anyone else to see?

OR MAYBE YOU’RE A DEVOTEE OF THE K.I.S.S. METHOD.

Need I say more about you?

I didn’t think so.

You may have thought about creating your own site.

You certainly could figure out how to do it. Start by blocking out some time for researching website platforms, design aesthetics, and current trends. Then additional time for discovering how all the details fit together. And more still for the much dreaded but inevitable trial and error.

But doesn’t it make sense to hire someone who’s already been there and done that?

About Me

I’m an Organizer Coach.

(Think professional organizer meets life coach.)

I’ve had my own business since leaving the corporate world in 2011. I also happen to have a knack for creating websites.

I created my first website when I was just starting up. I was utterly obsessed with the process. (Thus proving that one person’s ”tedious details” is another’s “engaging puzzle.”)

People liked my site and asked me to help them with theirs. So began my side gig of creating websites. This never felt out of place. I approached site-building in the same manner as my organizing… just on a different platform.

For me, creating websites is a process of gathering what’s needed and removing everything else. My sites have an easy flow, and distractions are minimal. Nothing to overwhelm the eye.

Calm by design.

Then, I add the touches that reveal the owner’s distinct personality. Clean layouts to share content on a website that feels personal to both the owner and the visitor.

Almost imperceptibly, onsite organizing has now become the side gig. Allow me to re-introduce myself…

I’m a website designer for life coaches and professional organizers.

I also happen to have a knack for organizing.

About your Website

The Design

It’s fun to keep up with the latest design trends. This is embedded in my everyday work life. But knowing the latest trends is only part of it. Knowing your clients—and what they would appreciate—is even more critical.

Absolutely go for a modern look. But, ultimately, go for the look that will attract your client specifically.

Here’s what I mean… Having your website with a black background (dark mode) is a recent trend. But think about your clients. Which will be more important to them:

  • easy reading of your site on their cell phone at night?

  • landing on a clean, uncluttered, easy-to-navigate (organized) site?

Both are valid design tracks. Think about your clients. A younger crowd primarily using mobile devices will appreciate dark mode. Your clients may have a difficult time focusing. The easy-to-navigate site with brightly colored CTA links might be preferred.

Where do your clients land? Let’s go there.

Organizing the Content

There’s much that could be written about what content to include on your site, but the crux of it can be narrowed to one concept.

Visitors do not come to your site to learn about you.

They come to learn about what you can do for them.

When we work together, I’ll provide you with content guides that help you produce the resources your clients will appreciate. Together, we’ll develop a website that reflects your distinct personality.
